Huge college football game this weekend, but Uga and Bevo will not be meeting up before kickoff.

Number 5 Georgia at Number 1 University of Texas on Saturday

Without a doubt the biggest college football game of the weekend will be the Georgia Bulldogs versus the Texas Longhorns. Undefeated Texas is coming off a huge win in the annual Red River Showdown and Georgia only has one loss this season against Alabama. One thing folks were excited for was Bevo and Uga meeting again, but that will not be happening.

Last Time Georgia and Texas Met in the 2019 Sugar Bowl

One of my favorite college football videos of all time is when someone thought it would be a good idea to get Uga and Bevo together for a photo op. Friendly reminder, the bull in bulldogs is because the animal was bred to take down bulls. I think something in Bevo's animal instincts kicked in and said, 'F*** this, take this little thing out.' Now above is Uga X who sadly passed away in January of this year. Looks like Uga XI is not making the trip.

This is the newest Uga who's actual name is Boom. Charles Seiler is the owner of the newest Uga and he says the new pup will not be on the trip to Austin this weekend. "“This dog hasn’t been on a plane yet and hasn’t been on a bus yet,” said Seiler. “He is really young and immature and crazy as hell, and this game just wasn’t a good fit for us.”

Uga XI or Boom was also not at the game in Kentucky this year, but no one really cared about that one said Seiler. To any Longhorns fans wanting another meetup with Bevo this year, it will not be happening. Well...at least not in Austin this weekend. Who knows, the two could meetup in the College Football Playoff.
