Where the Winning Ticket Was Purchased

Anyway, enough of my speculation, you came here to learn about the newest Texas millionaire. The anonymous Houston resident scored $1 million with the Diamond 7s scratch-off game, according to a press release. The ticket was purchased at Orbit #7, located at 11660 Fuqua St., in Houston. 

If you’re willing to part ways with a $20 bill, you just might be the next millionaire, courtesy of Diamond 7s. The $1 million prize was the second of four jackpot-winning tickets in the game. There are also 19 $25,000 prize-winning tickets that have yet to be claimed in the game. The overall odds of winning a prize in Diamond 7s are one in 3.51, including break-even prizes. 

Aside from awarding billions of dollars in prizes to players since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has also given billions of dollars to support education in the Lone Star State, as well as Texas veterans.
