It's supposed to be 100 degrees today, but cooler fall weather is on the horizon. That means fun fall activities and are local corn mazes are getting ready for the season.

Halloween is Only 42 Days Away!

Not like we're counting or anything. Halloween is an amazing time of the year to do some fun outdoor activities around town. If you have little kids, maybe a haunted house can be a little intimidating to them. A trip to the corn maze is a perfect family outing and two in our area are getting ready to open up very soon.

Morath Orchard Corn Maze Opens This Weekend

Morath Orchards located at 10852 W FM 171 in Wichita Falls announced the first day of their corn maze is this Saturday (September 21) running through the end of October this year. They said in an announcement back in August it would be a new design. Last year it was 'America's Pastime', a nice baseball themed corn maze. Tickets typically cost 10 bucks per person, but kids four and under are free. This weekend their hours are Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 2pm-6pm. They do longer hours in October, follow their Facebook page for more.

French County Farms Announces Snoopy Design

Looks like French County Farms are joining a lot of other farms across the country in showing love to The Peanuts for their 75th anniversary. French County Farms has an awesome Snoopy design for this year. They will actually be opening the corn maze next weekend (September 28) and they will run their maze until November 3rd. Hours are Saturdays 10am - 6pm and Sundays 12pm-6pm. Tickets are $12 per person and kids 2 and under are free. French County Farms is located at 4146 FM 367 in Wichita Falls.

I know other places have hay mazes and pumpkin patches around town. As far as I know, these are the only actual corn mazes in Wichita Falls. If you know of any others. Please let me know and I will add them.
