Wichita Falls, Texas Man Dies After Shove Over Grass Clippings
In what started as a fight over yard work could turn into very severe charges in Wichita County.
Elderly Wichita Falls Man Passes Away After Lawn Dispute
Wichita Falls police are currently investigating an incident that originally happened on Tuesday, October 1st. According to the police report, 26-year-old Connor Allen Duncan was doing yard work at a residence off of Earl Street in Wichita Falls. Police say the residence is not Connor's since he lives in Iowa Park. However, a next door neighbor on Earl Street became frustrated with what Connor was allegedly doing, blowing grass clippings into his driveway.

78-year-old William Palmer went to confront Connor about blowing grass onto his property. Palmer allegedly knocked on Connor's truck to confront him. An argument ensued with Connor leaving his truck and at one point, Connor allegedly shoved Palmer to the ground. A witness said Palmer's head hitting the ground sounded like “a 13-pound sledgehammer hitting concrete."
Police arrived and found Palmer with an injury to the back of his head with Connor nowhere at the scene. The incident happened on Tuesday, but it looks like at some point on Wednesday William Palmer passed away. An autopsy has been ordered for an official cause of death. According to reports, Palmer's injury was so severe due to swelling and bleeding that surgery could not be done at the time.
Police Confront Connor Allen Duncan
Police questioned Connor on the incident and said he reacted “somewhat explosively” and admitted shoving the older man. Connor had already been charged with injury to an elderly person, but those charges could be upgraded after an official cause of death from an autopsy. He's currently being held on a $250,000 bond in the Wichita County Jail.
