It’s Finally Happening, The Abandoned Wichita Falls, Texas Hotel is Coming Down
What many have deemed an eyesore for many years is set to come down.
Hotel Near the Falls Has Been Closed Since 2015
Many knew it as a Radisson, then it became a Holiday Inn, Inn at the Falls, Hotel at the Falls, and finally Hotel at Wichita Falls. No matter what name you put on it, the hotel has been vacant since 2015. The only revenue it is generating is for YouTubers that break into it to show off what our creepy abandoned hotel now looks like.

I have been writing stories at this point for literal years about this hotel coming down. The city has been fighting with the current owner of the hotel which is Rajendra Patel for years over the condition of the property. Which included bringing them up on 233 different charges back in April of this year. Looks like the city and owner have came up with an agreement. The city will be getting 35% of the property and will be turning it into a public park space.
Plans for Hotel Coming Down Taking Effect Over the Next 45 Days
According to KFDX, Assistant City Manager Paul Menzies says that surveyors are working on the property and asbestos tests are being done as well. The city is seeking bids for the demolition of the hotel over the next 45 days. Which would put us at September 21st of this year. Hopefully by then, we know who is taking down the building and when it will officially be gone.
So long Hotel whatever you want to be called, you will not be missed in your current condition.
