Caskets in Texas Cemetery Float Up to Surface During Flood
Parts of Texas, like some parts of South Louisiana, received several inches of rain early Wednesday morning, thus causing significant flooding.
Photos shared on social media show a cemetery in Kirbyville, Texas under water, and sadly some caskets up against trees.
If you recall, we saw something very similar to this during Hurricane Katrina as caskets were brought to the surface once enough water seeped below the surface.
Crews in Kirbyville were working later in the day to determine which gravesites the caskets came from.
Sadly, families of loved ones in this cemetery will be forced to lay their loved ones to rest again in hopes that something like this never happens again.
Kirbyville, TX reportedly received close to 13 inches of rain Wednesday morning when storms swept across the area, and later pushed into the state of Louisiana.
