Jake Owen’s name now overlooks a brand new baseball field for kids in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla.

The artist recently unveiled the new complex at a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside baseball legend Cal Ripken, Jr., and the town’s mayor, Laura Moss, where it was officially dedicated to Owen.

“I have great memories of playing baseball as a kid with my twin brother, Jarrod," the singer recalls in a press release. "Growing up in Vero Beach, I never imagined that one day there would be a baseball field here with my name on it. I'm thankful for music being the creative outlet that got me to where I am today and what brought us all together. I hope there will be many incredible memories made on this field and that the kids who play here will believe that anything is possible with the support of their community."

Funded by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and the Kevin Harvick Foundation, the synthetic turf field will provide a safe and fun environment for kids in the area to play, and both organizations will work with the complex to provide character education programs and clinics for local youth.

Owen just released the third single from his most recent album, American Love, titled “Good Company,” but he’s also been working on new music, giving fans a glimpse here and there of what’s to come. Sticking to his brand, the artist teased a new beachy tune on social media recently possibly titled “Mr. Summertime” or “Girls” — either way, fans are digging it.

He has a few tour dates lined up throughout the rest of the year, but Owen is also staying busy working on new music and being the world’s most adorable dad to his daughter, Pearl.
