Old cars, forgotten appliances, and even the occasional sunken boat are now visible, painting a picture that seems more suited to a post-apocalyptic movie set than a Texan lakeside retreat.

According to its website, Canyon Lake is "The Most Beautiful Lake in Texas,"
and judging by the pictures on said site, it just might be true. Here's a brief description:

The Lowdown on the Low Lake

According to the San Antonio Express, the water has never been lower than it currently is due to the recent drought. The video at the bottom of this article takes a look at some of the junk that is now visible at the bottom.

Silver Lining

It's not all junk cars, boats, and trash, however. One cool silver lining is that previously underwater caves are now exposed.

Hopefully, this year's predicted El Nino weather pattern will bring the much-needed rain to fill this gorgeous lake back to full!
