Man Claims to Have Purchased Bar L in Wichita Falls
Facebook user #chucksizzel posted a video this weekend that really got a lot of us talking. In the video you can watch at the bottom of this article, Mr. Sizzel, whose real name is Charles Horton, is standing in front of the old Bar L building while he claims that he has purchased the once-thriving establishment.
The Bar-L Drive Inn was best known for its BBQ and its signature drink, the “Red Draw,” which is a mix of beer and tomato juice. It also had a unique claim to fame: it was one of the last spots where you could legally enjoy a drink from your car, thanks to being grandfathered in when laws changed. I’d love to see this place revived someday.
Local Man Alleges Purchase of Bar L in Wichita Falls
Is this a legitimate claim? I highly doubt it. This guy is always posting really funny satirical videos on his page. I knew the jig was up on this one when he said, "Guys. I have bought the old Bar L, we're gonna rename it Bar L." 😂 Y'all, I did a spit take on that one, I'm not going to lie.

It’s also worth noting that no paperwork has been filed with the city or county to show the bar has officially changed hands. Usually, when someone buys a business, especially one as popular as Bar L, there are records to back it up.
But man, I wish it were true, don't tease us Chuck Sizzel!
