Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd Will Trolley Hop for Their One-Year Anniversary
Maren Morris' husband, Ryan Hurd, will fly out to see her so they can celebrate their first anniversary as a married couple later this month. The singer-songwriters wed on March 24, 2018, and when that date rolls around this year, Morris will be in San Francisco on her Girl: The World Tour.
"We looked at it a few weeks ago and I have an actual day off on our anniversary and it's in between tour stops," Morris says. "We're actually in San Fransisco which is not a bad city to be celebrating your first anniversary in."
The caravan rolls into Seattle on March 23, followed by a show at San Fran's the Masonic on March 26.
"I imagine you know the day will consist of a lot of trollies and great food," she adds. "We'll do something, he's going to fly out to see me." The tour launched in Chicago on March 9 and is in support of her new album, Girl.
Morris and Hurd met in a co-writing session in 2013 as they were both beginning their songwriting careers in Nashville. Their friendship and working relationship turned a romantic one — and served as inspiration for Hurd's song "Love in a Bar." When they walked down the aisle in 2018, Morris wore a dress inspired by her mother's own 1989 wedding gown. Their getaway car was a '59 Jaguar.
While Morris is on the road with Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn, Hurd is on his own headlining tour through April.
