
Monster Tumbleweeds Invade Downtown Wichita Falls, Texas
I was caught off guard this week when a gigantic tumbleweed rolled right into downtown, turning an ordinary day into one of wonderment and delight.

Ok, maybe that's pushing it a little, but as you can see in the video at the bottom of this article, that sucker is almost five feet tall!

Tumblezilla
One of my local meteorologist buddies told me that the dry conditions and strong winds created the perfect storm to bring the oversized plant into the city. Tumbleweeds are normally small and roll by without much trouble, but this one was on a different level. I started calling this thing "Tumblezilla," and it has quickly become a local legend.
