Police Investigate Possible Murder-Suicide

The deaths of an elderly couple in Bowie over the weekend may have been a murder-suicide.  Bowie police say a relative dropped by a home in the 400 block of East Wise to check on 69 year-old William McChesney and 71 year-old Panzy McChesney Sunday afternoon.

The pair had not been seen or heard from since the early morning hours of Sunday.  The relative discovered the bodies and called police.

A weapon was reportedly found near one of the bodies.  No further details have been released except that it does appear this may have been a murder-suicide.  The bodies were sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
