On Tuesday, a powerful windstorm with gusts reaching 100 miles per hour overturned a semi truck in Seymour, Texas, as severe weather barreled through parts of North Texas. The video at the bottom of this article features drone footage of the wrecked truck and other flooded parts of the city.

According to local authorities, the truck was traveling along U.S. Highway 277 when the intense winds caused it to tip onto its side. The driver was reportedly treated for minor injuries at the scene and did not require hospitalization. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Semi Truck Flips in Seymour Texas Amid 100 MPH Winds

The storm system brought widespread wind damage to the area, with reports of downed trees, power outages, and structural damage across Baylor County and neighboring communities. National Weather Service officials say the wind gusts were consistent with straight-line winds rather than a tornado, although radar indicated potential rotation in some parts of the region.

Seymour, a town of about 2,500 residents west of Wichita Falls, has experienced strong storms before, but this level of wind was unusual. Emergency management teams remained on alert today as cleanup efforts began and meteorologists monitored the possibility of continued severe weather.
