Super Moon Over Dallas Texas Time Lapse Video Goes Viral

There is something cool about time-lapse videos. This is the technique where a camera snaps one frame of video every few seconds or even minutes, then when it's played back at regular speed, it looks like it's happening at super speeds.

I think most of our first experience with these types of videos was back in elementary school when the biology teacher would show a time-lapse video of a seed sprouting into a plant.

X user @mattlantz recently posted the video captured this past Monday to his account, and the spectacle is amazing. At first, the enormous orange moon can be seen peaking out from behind the skyline. It appears gigantic as it looms behind the skyscrapers due to its proximity to our planet.

Ten seconds later, the video has fast-forwarded and the moon is now high above that beautiful Dallas, Texas skyline. We love how the reflected light from the moon illuminates the clouds as it approaches.
