Canaan Smith is coming to Wichita Falls on November 19th when the Taste Of Country Christmas Tour takes over Denim and Diamonds. Tickets are on sale now for $15 in advance online and at any MetroPCS store in Wichita Falls.

Today is #ThrowbackThursday and we're flashing all the way back to Fall of 2009. It was still a few years away from his first #1 song, 'Love You Like That,' and Canaan had only been living in Nashville for a few months. He was trying to start his music career and doing some songwriting. It was then that Canaan and his girlfriend at the time, Mika Combs, submitted this casting video and ended up getting selected for the 15th season of 'The Amazing Race.'

The couple got to do some pretty incredible things on the show.  They traveled to Tokyo, Vietnam, Dubai, and even got to mention his profession in one of the show promos.

But, all good things had to come to an end. After 6 episodes, the couple were eliminated from the show. Their final race involved going down a giant waterside and Mika's fear of water and heights made it so they couldn't go on. Even though they were eliminated, the couple said that they were still blessed.

Obviously a lot has changed for Canaan in the last 6 years. He's no longer with Mika, in fact he got married last August to Christy Hardesty. He also isn't a new guy in Nashville trying to get his name out anymore. He's had the #1 song in the country with 'Love You Like That,' and he's headlining the Taste Of Country Christmas Tour in Wichita Falls!
