Throwback Thursday: John Michael Montgomery ‘I Can Love You Like That’ [VIDEO]
It's time again to step into the Blake FM Time Machine for a little #ThrowbackThursday musical journey. This year, we're going back 20 years, to the week of April 22nd, 1995.
It was 20 years ago this week that John Michael Montgomery's 'I Can Love You Like That' was the #1 song in country radio. The song was the first single from John Michael Montgomery's self-titled album. It only spent 1 week at #1 on the chart, but definitely had a lasting impression.
Later that same year, the song got a little bit different treatment when the R&B group All-4-One released their version of the song, which would end up going to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Check out their version, too, and see which one holds up better 20 years later.
