Bitter Cold with Teen Wind Chills Hits Texas this Weekend
So it appears as though we're not done with the winter weather in Texas just yet. A big blast of cold air is moving in this weekend, and it’s going to make things feel way colder than usual. Some places might even feel like they’re in the teens because of the wind.
This kind of cold doesn’t hit Texas often, so experts are warning people to be careful. Even if the actual temperature isn’t super low, the wind will make it feel much worse. People should wear lots of layers, try not to stay outside too long, and make sure pets and family members are staying warm.

Wind chills in the teens expected in Texas this weekend
This freeze is happening because super cold air from the north is pushing down into Texas, crashing into the warmer air from the Gulf. That mix is bringing the chilly weather, and some parts of the state will stay cold all weekend. The coldest times will probably be in the mornings, when wind chills could make it feel like it’s in the teens.
