It sounds like something from one of those CSI TV shows, a homeless man goes to sleep inside a dumpster and wakes up inside a trash truck.

As crazy as that would be, it actually happened in Amarillo, Texas.

ABC 7 in Amarillo is reporting that one of those big garbage truck with the overhead lift mechanism was going about its normal rounds this morning, using the overhead mechanism as they always do. They picked up a dumpster, emptied it into the truck and replaced the dumpster.

That's when the unknown man who had been sleeping inside jumped out of the truck and landed back in the dumpster. He then ran down the alley and was later found by police officers who took him to the hospital to be checked out.

While the entire situation must have been stressful for all concerned, authorities say his injuries were 'minor.'
