I love movies, but I can not stand watching them in theaters. For some reason, somehow, the most annoying people on the planet find me and sit directly next to me every single time.
Oh, you want to look at your phone throughout the entire film, with your screen lighting up the entire row? Sit right here next to Eric, young fellow. Oh, hey, you want to talk and crinkle your candy bag throughout the entire flick? We have just the cranky old man to share his experience with you.
New Texas Theater Experience Hopes to Revive Moviegoing
So I just wait until films get to the rental market now. You have to offer some sort of cool experience to get me to leave my couch to watch a movie these days. Well, The Cosm in Dallas has a new experience that just might get me out of the house. You can check it out by scrolling to the video below.

Instead of a normal movie screen, Cosm uses a giant curved dome that wraps around you, almost like stepping into a huge virtual reality room. The whole point is to make you feel surrounded by the action.
For now, the two locations in Dallas and Los Angeles are testing it out. Early visitors seem pretty excited to see what comes next.
