
Thief Makes Off With Cash From Big Blue
Just before 11 am this morning, a man who was reportedly trying to exchange coins for paper money grabbed an unknown amount of cash from behind the teller counter and fled on foot. According to a WFPD press release, the theft took place at American National Bank’s branch inside ‘Big Blue’. The suspect is described as a black male, 220lbs, 6’2″, wearing square wire frame glasses and a dark colored shirt that says “Hirschi” on the front. He was carrying a black backpack. He fled on foot, running on Scott toward 7th. Investigators from WFPD Criminal Investigation Section and FBI are on scene. A downtown search was being conducted by the Wichita Falls PD and the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office.
