Thomas Rhett will represent country music as a 2019 American Music Awards performer, and he'll be using his time on stage to shine a spotlight an important cause.

The country superstar has teamed with Wells Fargo to raise awareness for its Holiday Food Bank, with donations going toward Feeding America, a hunger relief organization that serves healthy food to roughly 40 million children, seniors and families in need annually through food banks across the U.S.

He appears in the category of Favorite Male Artist Country alongside Luke Combs and Kane Brown. Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay and Brown are vying for Favorite Album Country, while Underwood, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini are up for Favorite Female Artist Country. Blake Shelton also scored a nod for Favorite Song Country, along with Combs and Dan + Shay, the latter of whom appear again in the category of Favorite Duo/Group Country with Florida Georgia Line and Old Dominion.
