Maybe it's time we start asking ourselves, was Tim Tebow more famous for his well-publicized faith and pleasant demeanor, or his talents as a football player?  Well, now that he's been cut from his third team, I'm leaning towards the former.

After unsuccessful runs with the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow has been cut by his third team, the New England Patriots, effective this morning.  When Tebow was signed to the Patriots, it was considered a no-pressure situation for Tebow, being the 3rd string quarterback behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett.  However, Tebow failed to impress, or possibly show the promise for improvement, ending the pre-season at 11 for 30 for 145 yards, two touchdowns, two picks and seven sacks, and the Patriots made the decision this morning to go with only two QBs and cut the 25-year-old Tebow.

Now, Tebow's future is definitely in question.  If Tebow isn't picked up by other team in the coming week, he'll have to wait to see injuries set in to see if a spot opens.  And while Tebow has reportedly made it clear he has no intention to give up on football as a career, there is the question if any other NFL teams will make the investment in a QB that has failed to impress three teams.  Tebow also doesn't seem to have a back-up career plan, so if another NFL team doesn't come calling, maybe we'll hear Tebow packing it up and trying his hand at the CFL across the border.
