Here’s a cool little getaway smack dab in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

I absolutely love the Hill Country. It’s my favorite vacation destination here in Texas. The countryside is beautiful and there are countless things to do.

And one thing I like to do is simply go somewhere and chill out. Just disconnect from the world, turn on some music and soak up some fresh air.

So, I was stoked when I discovered this tiny house that’s tucked away on three wooded acres of land just outside of beautiful Austin in Wimberly. It looks like the perfect spot for a couple to get away and unwind.

The tiny house, known as La Petite, was built by a local high school senior in nearby Fredericksburg and his designer/builder dad completely from scratch for his senior project. Hosts Jennifer and Gregory eventually bought it and moved it to where it now sits.

La Petite is one for those who like to mix getting out into nature with modern living.

It features a fully-stocked kitchen, a smart TV, WiFi, Bluetooth speaker, and a private bathroom on the inside.

On the outside, you’ll find a wrap-around two-level deck complete with a hot tub, a covered patio with two hammock chairs, patio furniture, an outdoor shower, and a charcoal grill.

Out of everything, the best part to me is that it’s completely surrounded by woods, making it the perfect destination for those who are simply looking to get out and enjoy a little peace and quiet for a few days.
