- Love And Theft made their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2009.
- Reba McEntire was toasted with a surprise 50th birthday party at a club inside Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center in 2005. She was serenaded by Ronnie Dunn, Steve Wariner, Vince Gill and Terri Clark with a band assembled by producer Tony Brown.
- Carolyn Dawn Johnson married Matt Fisher in Banff, Alberta in 2003.
- The O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack went platinum in 2001. Produced by T Bone Burnett, it featured Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley, The Soggy Bottom Boys, Alison Krauss, Harry McClintock, Gillian Welch, John Hartford and The Cox Family.
- Reba McEntire went to the top of the Billboard chart with "Is There Life Out There" in 1992.
- Hank Williams Jr.'s "Texas Women" hit Number One on the Billboard country chart in 1981.
- Tom T. Hall rejoined the Grand Ole Opry in 1980.
