Trace Adkins Will Be A Sheriff In His Next Movie ‘Saving Santa’

Trace Adkins will soon be putting on his acting hat - and a badge - as he prepares for a role in an upcoming holiday movie, 'Saving Santa'. Trace will play the part of "Sheriff Arrington" in the movie. He's not the only country music connection on this project. The film's executive producer is Kix Brooks, who appears to be adding another line to his resume that already includes singer, songwriter, actor and radio host. Another country star - Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts - will make his big screen acting debut in the flick.

The 'Saving Santa' Facebook page describes the movie as a "tender-hearted Christmas story for the entire family". No official release date yet, but you can expect it to be in theaters in late 2012.
