And that’s where this story comes in.

Unless you drive an electric car or walk or ride a bicycle for your daily commute, gas is a necessity. And when it comes to buying gas, some days are better than others, depending on which state you live in.

For those of us here in Texas, Sunday is the best day to buy gas. Of course, you’re wondering what the worst day to buy gas is and that would be Thursday. You also want to avoid gassing up on a Wednesday.

For the record, this is not a paid endorsement, but I almost always get gas at Sam’s Club. The price there is usually about 5 cents cheaper than the average price here in The Falls.

But if you’re not a member, that’s not an option. In that case, shop around using a gas price app like GasBuddy or the free AAA mobile app.

Because a little shopping around can save you up to $250 per year.
