Why Did Brooks & Dunn Break Up?
Brooks & Dunn's 2010 breakup wasn't a shock if you know the duo's history. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are country music's most prolific duo of all time, but did you know their breakup nearly came a decade earlier?
That's the subject of this of this week's episode of The Secret History of Country Music. Rumors of drama and fighting may have been blown out of proportion. In fact, B&D say they never had a fight during nearly 20 years together. So why call it quits after two decades? The reason for Brooks & Dunn's breakup has to do with the time they spent together.
In April, the country legends and future Hall of Famers will release a new album, Reboot, of old hits with contemporary artists. They're also going to be touring in 2019, with dates at Taste of Country Music Festival in New York and WE Fest in Minnesota among their planned concerts.
