Why Do All Memes Use That One Font? [VIDEO]

Memes. They are arguably the best thing on the internet. From cats wanting cheeseburgers to Willy Wonka condescendingly responding to political issues, to Fry from Futurama throwing away all his money, they always give us a laugh.

Have you noticed how all memes (well at least all of them worth posting) use the same font? Yes, it looks good and is readable, but there are other ones that would work well too. Why did this particular font become the standard for internet photo hilarity?
