Wichita County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Early Morning Assault

The Wichita County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of an assault early this morning. Deputies responded to the 1900 block of Bailey Road where  a 28-year-old male was found to have been assaulted.  The male had severe head injuries and was transported to United Regional Health Care Center by American Medical Response.  According to a WCSO press release, during the preliminary investigation, deputies discovered the man had been assaulted in the 300 block of East Ruby in Iowa Park around 6:00 am.  A 25-year-old female was also assaulted and was transported by private vehicle to United Regional Health Care Center with minor injuries.   The suspect is described as a 27-year-old male, 5’8” tall and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.  The suspect has a lengthy criminal history and was known by both victims.
