Wichita Falls is getting a taste of Louisiana this spring as the 17th annual Cajun Fest returns to Downtown. Hosted by Downtown Wichita Falls Development, the festival will take place at Bud Daniel Park on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., bringing with it the rich flavors, sounds, and spirit of Cajun culture.

At the heart of the event is the food. From steaming pots of crawfish to rich, savory bowls of gumbo, vendors will be serving up classic Cajun dishes that highlight the region’s signature spices and flavors. Those with a competitive streak can put their appetites to the test in the annual crawfish eating contest, where participants race against the clock to see who can devour the most shellfish.
