Wrong Way Driver Nearly Crashes Head on in Texas

A San Antonio driver described a crazy encounter that reinforced their belief that “no one can drive in San Antonio.” According to the account, the driver and their passenger didn’t realize another car was heading toward them until they were already blocked in. The wrong-way driver had been struck by an 18-wheeler earlier and, fortunately, survived. But the folks who took the video emphasized that the crash did not excuse the reckless behavior they observed.

They said that the driver first pulled onto the left shoulder before suddenly backing up across multiple lanes of traffic, cutting off cars and nearly causing several accidents. The vehicle then veered back toward the left shoulder, this time heading the wrong way down the highway. At one point, the car was driving directly toward the witness’s vehicle, coming dangerously close to a head-on collision.

I imagine she was in shock after being struck by the 18-wheeler, so we should all hold off on passing judgment.

Disclaimer: we didnt realize they were driving towards us until I was already blocked in, i moved as soon as i had a chance. We called 9-11 after. Driver was hit by an 18 wheeler and thankfully is ok (but if you ask me, being hit doesnt make the actions that this car did ok. She started out on the left shoulder then started backing up across all of the lanes, cutting off the upcoming traffic and almost causing multiple wrecks.
