• Vince Gill, Jerry Reed, "Prisoner Of The Highway" songwriter Mike Reid, "What Mattered Most" composer Gary Burr and "Don't Rock The Jukebox" creator Roger Murrah were added to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame during an event at the Renaissance Hotel in 2005.

• Sara Evans went to Number One on the Billboard chart with "Suds In The Bucket" in 2004.

• Jimmie Davis was inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1972.

• Dolly Parton was hired to co-star on The Porter Wagoner Show in 1967.

• George Morgan joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1948.
