Out of all of the videos I've written about unusual cars driving the roads of Texas, this one might be my absolute favorite. I mean, what red-blooded American man doesn't want his very own pirate ship? The problem is, we're landlocked here in North Texas. There's no body of water in Fort Worth that can handle a schooner, or whatever the heck pirates sailed in.

But we do have miles and miles of open roads. I guess the rascal in the video at the bottom of this article decided if he was going to be the captain of his own boat, he might as well roam the asphalt oceans of the DFW Metroplex.

Unusual Boat-Car Hybrid Seen Driving in Fort Worth

Yes, you read that right. A boat was moving down the street like a car. No truck was pulling it. No water was involved. It had wheels underneath and seemed to be driving itself just like any other vehicle in traffic. And as you can imagine, it grabbed everyone’s attention.

Apparently, the ship is a promotional prop from a Fort Worth nightclub called Studio 80. The ship drives around the city in order to drum up business for the club. In fact, they will even let you jump on board and catch a ride to the club itself.

So, instead of plundering and pillaging, they get your money by taking you to party. These are my kind of pirates!
