The Boomtown Shootout Is Back In Burkburnett
The 2nd annual Boomtown Shootout is back and better than ever!
On May 20th, and 21st, come on out to Friendship Park Burkburnett for some fun for the entire family. The Boomtown Shootout will have enough activities to wear anybody out. In addition, to live music, there will be cooking competitions, vendor booths for every passion, and activities for the kids as well.
Be sure that you show up on an empty stomach though. The Boomtown Shootout will have not just one but, several different cook-off competitions. Both CASI Chili, and the Outlaw Barbecue Association will be on-site holding contests to see who can make the best tasting chili, and barbeque in Texoma. There’s also going to be a ribeye steak, and “anything bacon” cookoff as well.
Red dirt country lovers are also going to be in for a treat as well. On Friday night, Cory Morrow and Miller Campbell will be performing. Cory Morrow is a Texas country artist from Houston, who started writing music while he was attending Texas Tech University. He’s released several different albums since 1997 and even recorded some songs with Pat Green.
On Saturday night, Josh Ward takes the stage with both Wynn Williams and Bailey Swaydan. Josh Ward is both an amateur rodeo rider, and an accomplished country musician. When he was in high school, he would play music in the parking lot before riding in the rodeo later that night. He recorded his first studio EP in 2007 and has released several hit singles since.
