Brahma Bull Tosses Texas Rodeo Clown Over Ten Feet in the Air
When Rodeo Meets Thrills: The Moment a Brahma Bull Tossed a Clown Ten Feet into the Air in Texas.
Rodeo clowns are a different breed. If you've been living under a rock and don't know what a rodeo clown is, these brave soles are tasked with running onto the dirt and distracting a bull once it's thrown the cowboy riding it from its back.
I don't care how much you paid me, I would never set foot in a rodeo arena when an angry Brahma bull is stomping around raising a ruckus, because I don't think I could survive what happened to the rodeo clown in the video at the bottom of this article.
8 Seconds
The footage begins as the gate opens for a typical rodeo run, where the rider is judged on how well he stays on the bull for eight seconds.
Seconds Before Disaster
The bull rider almost makes it for the entire 8 seconds before being tossed to the ground.
He Got Air
As the rider hits the dirt, one of the rodeo clowns quickly makes his way over to distract the bull. Then, a second clown comes in for the rescue and manages to sit on the bull's head accidentally. The bull flings his massive skull upwards and the rodeo clown launches in the air.
The person recording must have missed it because instead of following the man hurtling through space and time, he follows the bull as it trots back the other way. As per usual with the videos I cover, the cameraperson fails at their one job: keeping the action in the frame.
