It's an annual event of rugged splendor in Wyoming — 10 days of western entertainment. Cheyenne Frontier Days bills itself as "the"world's largest outdoor western and rodeo celebration," and according to the event's website, it's been going on annually since 1897.

In addition to country music performances from some of the top names in the genre, the festivities include a massive outdoor rodeo, "which draws top professionals who compete for more than $1 million in cash and prizes."

Other activities include behind-the-chutes tours, trick riding and a wild horse race. Rodeo fans can also enjoy a Native American Village, Old Frontier Town, a saloon, dancing, a chuckwagon cook-off, pancake breakfast and an art show, all of which carry on the frontier theme. There's also a carnival midway, an air show, professional bull riding and several different parades featuring antique carriages and automobiles.

Lady Antebellum, Kelsea Ballerini, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and more are among the acts who performed at Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2019, and 2020's lineup promises to be even bigger and better. Cheyenne Frontier Days is slated to run from Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 26 in 2020.

Tickets to Cheyenne Frontier Days 2020 are set to go on sale on Dec. 13 via the event's website.
