
Driver Hauls Upright Basketball Hoop on Texas Highway
As a supremely lazy person myself, I really commend the folks who are the subject of the video at the end of this article. I'm so lazy that my laziness usually creates more work for me, which could have been avoided if I weren't so lazy.
But, dang, being too lazy to take apart a basketball hoop before driving it down a busy highway is lazy to the point that they are endangering the drivers around them. That's lazy on a whole new level.
Truck Drives Texas Highway With Full Basketball Hoop Upright
While Texans are known for hauling big stuff in all kinds of ways, safety experts say this one wasn’t the best idea. A tall basketball hoop can catch a lot of wind, throw off the balance of the truck, and even fall out if it’s not tied down the right way. All of that can be dangerous for the driver and everyone else on the road.

Look, I realize this is a light-hearted take on laziness, but the Texas Department of Transportation reminds everyone that hauling things the wrong way can cause crashes, litter the roads, and even get you in trouble with the law.
