It looks like this is going to be a big weekend at the Wichita Theatre in downtown Wichita Falls! Not only is it the first time they've ever taken on a Shakespearean play, but they've got TWO shows opening on the same weekend!

Things get started Friday evening with A Midsummer Night's Dream. As well as being the Wichita Theatre's first venture into Shakespeare, it's only their second non- musical presentation at the theatre. The premiere performance is Friday night (November 2nd) at 7:30 and it runs through Saturday, November 17th. Tieckets start at $15 with discounts for students and children under 12.

The second show to open on the Wichita Theatre stage this weekend is  Disney's Sleeping Beauty. This is a Kids On Stage presentation and features a cast of 8 - 12 year old actors and actresses. The first performance is Saturday (November 3rd) at 10:00 a.m. and it runs through Saturday, November 17th.

Amanda Jackson, director of Sleeping Beauty, and Marvin Bailey, one of the cast members for A Midsummer Night's Dream, dropped by our studios to tell us what to expect.

Here's the first part of their visit.

Here's the second part.

There is a busy lineup of shows coming soon, visit the Wichita Theatre's website to find out more or make your reservations.
