Meals on Wheels Wichita County is starting its 9th Annual Blanket and Sock Drive this November! They’re asking people to donate new blankets and socks to help homebound seniors stay warm during winter.

The goal? Collect 800 blankets and pairs of socks before the holidays so seniors don’t have to worry about the cold.

If you want to help, you can drop off donations at these spots:

  • Grubb’s Family of Dealerships (any Wichita Falls location)
  • Meals on Wheels Office at 1000 Burnett Street
  • Walmart on Lawrence Road, where staff and volunteers will be collecting donations on November 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This drive is about more than warmth. Jeanette Charos, Director of Development and Marketing for Meals on Wheels Wichita County, said, “Something as simple as a warm blanket or cozy pair of socks can bring both comfort and care; a reminder to our clients that they are not forgotten this season.”
