Sheppard Air Force Base right here in Wichita Falls will be showing some love to the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Not sure how many folks in Wichita Falls are paying attention to the Air Force Academy football team tomorrow night, but the game will have a very interesting Wichita Falls connection. The team announced a flyover will be taking place before the game, which is something I assume the Air Force Academy is used to. However, tomorrow the jets will be coming from right here in Wichita Falls from our very own Sheppard Air Force Base.

The flyover will be happening while folks are tailgating on Saturday since the kickoff is so late, but still. Pretty cool that some pilots training right here in Wichita Falls will be taking part in a cool college football tradition tomorrow.

Air Force is a 10.5-point underdog on Saturday, but who knows. Maybe a flyover from some pilots in Wichita Falls bring them some good luck on Saturday. If any pilots from Sheppard are reading this and can get us footage of the flyover it would be greatly appreciated. Since I don't have a rooting interest in this game. I'll just say go Air Force Falcons for the Wichita Falls connection.
