Over the weekend a video is going viral of a man paying over $3,000 to smash an autographed Taylor Swift guitar. Turns out this guy is right here in Texas and I found the exact event he was at. Turns out he was at the Ellis County Wild Game Dinner in Waxahachie, Texas.

Looks like one of the twenty five live auction items was a Taylor Swift autographed guitar that was donated by WGD Sponsors. Which was the Wild Game Dinner sponsors, so not sure which sponsor actually donated this guitar before it got smashed by a hammer.

Technically once the guitar is purchased this guy can do whatever he wants with it. Looks like the crowd was definitely not Taylor Swift fans because he's clearly getting cheered on while smashing it with a hammer. The post above claims the guy paid $4,000 to do this, but other sources say the final bid was $3,200. Since this guy has money to blow, feel free to send a couple of bucks my way.
