City of Wichita Falls Celebrates New Basketball and Futsal Courts

Over the weekend, Wichita Falls unveiled some new upgrades at Bridwell Park. The park now has two new basketball and futsal courts. The courts sit side by side at Bridwell Park if you want to go check them out for yourself.

What is Futsal?

If you're like me scratching your head trying to figure out what futsal is. The basic way to describe it as soccer, but played in the confines of a basketball court. One of the keys of futsal is that off sides does not exist in this sport. Which leads to some crazy long kicks from across the court.

Central Wichita Falls Revitalization Hoping to Work on More of These Projects

Back in 2019, the Wichita Falls Revitalization Program started to help boost areas of Wichita Falls. Bridwell Park now has an awesome upgrade with these new courts. We could see more upgrades in the future in areas such as Floral Heights, Highland Addition, and other areas around Old High.
