Justin Moore's new album Late Nights and Longnecks is coming, but fans will need to wait a little longer than expected.

On Twitter, the singer shared that his fifth studio album will be released on July 26, 2019 — three months later than originally planned. He did not offer an explanation for the delay, other than suggesting it ties in with summer.

Speaking to Taste of Country, Moore says Late Nights and Longnecks is a return to his traditional roots after the more progressive Kinda Don't Care album, released in 2016.

"I think this is the most mature album I've ever done," Moore says. "And I know every artist says their newest album is their best one, but I really think this is the best songwriting on any album I've ever done."

"The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" is Moore's current single and it sits just inside the Top 40 on the country airplay charts. He released the full track-listing in March, telling ToC that "That's My Boy" is one of his favorites on the new album. It's about his son and is the first song he's written about one of his children.

Moore co-wrote every song on this album and was inspired by country idols like Dwight Yoakam and Keith Whitley, plus home, family, and tradition. He currently lives in Arkansas with his wife and four kids and is a regular presence at his daughter's softball games.

To date, Moore has six No. 1 songs and two platinum-certified albums.
