Little League Coach Sues His Player for $500,000 — You’ll Never Guess Why [VIDEO]
It looks like Alex Rodriguez isn’t the only baseball player with a lot of legal headaches.
Alan Beck, a Little League coach in Lakeside, California, is suing a 14-year-old player who played for him, claiming the boy was so excited at scoring the game-winning run that he threw his helmet and tore Beck’s Achilles tendon.
Beck, who’s a chiropractor by trade, is suing for a half million dollars in pain and suffering and lost wages, plus another 100 grand to cover legal expenses.
The player’s father, Joe Paris, is dumbfounded, saying, "At first I thought it was joke…Now, I think it's absurd.”
The boy’s father is also irate because he has already spent more than $4,000 on the matter before even stepping foot in court.
