New McDonald’s Commercial Sparks Outrage (And a Brilliant Parody)

McDonald's is serving up a heaping pile of controversy.

The franchise unveiled a new commercial over the weekend, in which they tug at the heartstrings with emotional signs outside various restaurants, set to a cover of the fun. song 'Carry On.'

The spot is heavy on the schmaltz, which didn't exactly go down as smoothly as a vanilla shake for some people, who weighed in with cynicism on Twitter:

And because the Internet can't just let things be, there's a (somewhat NSFW) parody  commercial now making the rounds, showing some other kinds of signs you can find at McDonald's.
