Police Chase in Texas Ends with Officer Taking Hard Fall
I could never be a cop. The cardio alone would kill me. The poor officer in the video at the bottom of this article took a terrible spill while chasing a suspect on foot.
We're going to break down the footage without any context, but you can skip all the jibber jabber and just scroll down to watch it yourself.
The Chase is On
As the video opens, we see an individual being chased by a police officer in front of the Harris County Joint Processing Center. The fellow being chased looks as if he is jogging at about half speed, whereas the cop is running at a full sprint, so he eventually catches up to the man. Just when it looks like the cop has him in his grasp, the man takes a sharp right and runs off the curb toward the street. That's when the cop lunged.

The lunge was a mistake. The cop trips over the curb and takes a painful-looking tumble onto the concrete below.
As the man being chased takes off in the direction of the camera, we then see another cop to the right and a civilian on the left, both chasing the man as well.

And that's where the video ends because, for some reason, people can not seem to keep the camera rolling until the conclusion of whatever it is they're capturing.
