Ralph Macchio Eliminated From ‘Dancing With the Stars’

For Ralph Macchio, it was close, but not close enough.

The 'Karate Kid' star was officially kicked out of the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 12 competition Tuesday night, ending a somewhat rocky road to the semifinals.

Macchio, who began the season with an unexpectedly strong debut performance, thanked his fans and partner Karina Smirnoff for an unforgettable run on the show.

"I will never forget how the fans have driven us through every week," he said. "It inspired me. I would run here every Monday for us to present what we worked on."

"Karina, you have inspired me in so many ways with your heart, your talent, your class, your integrity as an artist, and even more so as a human being," he added.

Macchio and Smirnoff received the lowest scores from the judges on Monday.

Left in the competition are Kirstie Alley, Chelsie Hightower and Hines Ward, who will face off in next week's epic season finale.
