
Red River Dangerously Swollen at Texas Oklahoma Border
I've driven across the Texas/Oklahoma border hundreds of times. You see, Wichita Falls, Texas, is only fifteen minutes from Oklahoma, and we like to pop over the Red River to do a little legal Oklahoma gambling from time to time. Normally, the Red River looks like a little dried-up trickle of water. I'm embedding a video below to show you how pathetic it normally looks.
However, due to the crazy amount of rain we've been getting, this bad boy is up over the banks for the first time in a very long time.
Red River Water Levels Surge Near the Texas-Oklahoma Line
As you can see in the photo, the water is almost up over the bridge that connects the two states. Check out the video below for a better look. It is insane.

The Red River, which serves as a natural boundary between the two states, is known for its rapid rises during periods of heavy rainfall. However, this recent surge has drawn particular attention because it follows several weeks of above-average precipitation across the region.
