Trisha Yearwood has been named as host of the annual CMA Country Christmas TV special for 2019. The country star is taking over hosting duties from Reba McEntire, who hosted the event in 2018 and 2017.

“Music, memories and enjoying the season with loved ones are what make Christmastime so special,” says Yearwood, who will also perform during CMA Country Christmas 2019, in a press release. “Hosting CMA Country Christmas is an opportunity to share joy and celebrate the holidays with friends and family everywhere."

In addition to Yearwood, CMA Country Christmas 2019 will also feature Kristin Chenoweth, For King & Country, Chris Janson, Tori Kelly, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Runaway June, CeCe Winans, Brett Young and Chris Young. The event is being taped on Sept. 25, at Belmont University's Curb Event Center.

Tickets for the CMA Country Christmas 2019 taping will go on sale on Friday (Sept. 6), at 10AM CT, via CMAChristmas.com. The show will air on ABC during the holiday season; exact details have yet to be announced.

Prior to Yearwood and McEntire hosting CMA Country Christmas, the event was hosted by Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles in 2017. Nettles performed the role for the previous seven years, since CMA Country Christmas began.
