Billy Bob's Texas is celebrating 40 years of honky tonkin' in the Forth Worth Stockyards this year and they're kicking off their monthlong anniversary party with the Gatlin Brothers this Thursday night.

When it's time to celebrate 40 years of great live shows, you need a band with some longevity and the Gatlin Brothers certainly fit that bill. With 22 studio albums, countless live shows, and tons of hits over several decades, they're the perfect way to start the party.

The doors will open at 6:00. the Billy Bob's Texas House Band will be on the Honky Tonk Stage at 8:00, and Larry, Steve, & Rudy will hit the Main Stage at 9:00 p.m.

Billy Bob's Texas opened its doors for the first time in April of 1981 and over the course of the years have hosted some of the biggest names in music in their 100,000 square foot entertainment center.

The 40th Anniversary celebration continues all month long with shows from Hank Williams Jr., Midland, Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert, the Bellamy Brothers and more. Many of those shows have already sold out, check the Billy Bob's Texas website for show times and ticket availability.
